### About DarkSide?
DarkSide is an application and plugin (faders) based screen saver,
giving you a high degree of System compatibility, along with using
very few of your System's resources.
DarkSide is freeware, which means that you can use it yourself or give
copies away to anyone you wish, but that the rights are retained by
the author, Tom Dowdy.
Allows movies, custom modules and some third parties... including many
After Dark 2.x modules.

This is a complete package of DarkSide, and includes versions in English, Dutch, German, Finnish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. If you select this link you do not need to download the English only version above.
The above files (versions 2.5, 4.2, 5.0.6 & 5.0.6L) can also be
downloaded [from Tom Dowdy's site][1], which is currently still
active.
The download for the manual is a PDF conversion of version 2.5's
included "About DarkSide" MacWrite document.
Compatibility
Architecture: 68k PPC
Any Mac running Mac OS 7.0 to Mac OS 9.2.2
Version 2.5 runs in SSW 6 and 7 (Requires MultiFinder active in SSW
6.x).
Version 4.2 contains an additional INIT (Control Panel) named
"Snausages" included in the DL. I don't know why Tom Dowdy included
this, as it is unrelated to DarkSide. Its ReadMe doc has the comment
"Inits are evil, and silly: this one especially so. Don't say I didn't
warn you!" ? YMMV.
