DA Piggyback is a shell program for launching desktop accessories
("DAs") as applications within System 6. It was developed as a
workaround due to the limited number of desk accessories that were
originally permitted to be installed at a given time inside the Apple
Menu (fifteen). This restriction would later be obviated with the
release of System 7 and the then newly redesigned Apple Menu, as well
as the permanent integration of MultiFinder into the Macintosh
Desktop, thus rendering desk accessories obsolete altogether.

To use in System 6, make a duplicate of the "DA Piggyback" application
and rename it so that it matches the name of the intended DA. Open the
(now-renamed) DA Piggyback application file with Font/DA Mover by
selecting it as the installation destination (this can be done by
holding down the "Option" key while clicking "Open..." from within
Font/DA Mover). Finally, install the desired desktop accessory as you
would install one to the System file, then close Font/DA Mover.
