ClearSide changes the picture your Mac shows you during startup (you
know, that Mac face that smiles sarcastically at you as you wait for
the seemingly infinite sequence of extensions and control panels
loading to finish). ClearSide will not speed up the startup sequence,
but it will make it more fun at least.
ClearSide consists of two parts, which are now, unlike previous
versions, contained in one application. The main part, the installer
part, is the part that will replace the startupscreen in the system
file by a nicer one (which you get to choose). The other part, the
Designer, allows you to create your own by importing pictures from the
clipboard and saving them as ClearSide plugs.
