This software and its license have been made available for free by its
developer, [Alastair Houghton][1]. Save the license image in the
screenshots (Aura.png) and drag it into the Registration window to
activate Aura.

Aura encodes multi-channel surround sound from your apps and games
into a Dolby Digital 5.1 signal compatible with A/V receivers and
surround amplifiers connected through an optical S/PDIF connection.

With Aura, you'll get surround sound in any application that can
output multi-channel surround sound.

Without Aura, you'll only get surround sound with pre-encoded content
in applications with special support (e.g. DVD Player).

Compatibility
Architecture: x86 (Intel:Mac)

Aura supports Mac OS X 10.9 and above.

If you have a machine from 2016 or later, it may not have an optical
connection ? check the Apple Tech Specs website if you're unsure (it
should list digital or optical output under the 3.5mm audio jack);
machines without built-in S/PDIF may work with a USB audio adapter.

Requires a Dolby Digital? compatible A/V receiver or surround
amplifier with a TOSLINK optical input; not all applications support
multichannel audio.
