Apple Media Tool is a visual authoring environment that lets you
assemble and synchronize graphics, text, sound files, and QuickTime
and QuickTime VR movies into interactive multimedia titles. Apple
Media Tool requires no scripting or programming. If you know how to
use a mouse, you can create your own cross-platform applications, CD-
ROMs, and kiosks.

QuickTime and QuickTime VR support
Apple Media Tool 2.1 supports PICT files, AIFF and WAV sound files,
RTF (rich format text), and QuickTime and QuickTime VR movies. With
Drag and Drop, you can easily place media into your projects. Even
QuickTime VR files are a breeze with AMT.

Easy multimedia authoring
AMT 2.1 provides precise control over media. You can play, stop, go to
the beginning, or jump to specific times within audio and QuickTime
media. You can even "step" through QuickTime media frame-by-frame, or
play an audio file continuously through your project.

Apple Media Tool 2.1 provides some of the most precise control over
QuickTime VR media available. You can jump to specific angles in
QuickTime VR panoramic movies, return to the last angle, jump to nodes
in multi-node VR movies, and with new variable warp correction, VR
movies look better in AMT.

Want to launch applications or open URLs? AMT makes it easy. No
scripting or XCMDs are needed; you can launch apps or link to your
favorite web sites with simple pull-down and pop-up menu commands.

AMT provides flexibility for PICT images. It supports flipbook
animation, picture scrolling, and a picture view and offset user
interface control. You can also use dynamic media switching to switch
media files on the fly.

Apple Media Tool supports hot text and key down commands, AppleScript
to automate projects, a new printing architecture, custom color
palettes, and much more.

Cross-platform compatibility
AMT allows you to build your project once and develop it for
Macintosh, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. You can even put both versions
on the same CD since they share the same media!

Smarter media management
Apple Media Tool stores media separately from the application making
it easy to substitute content and reducing application size. AMT also
runs complete projects faster than many multimedia authoring tools.

Greater flexibility
Sold separately, the Apple Media Tool Programming Environment allows
programmers to further customize AMT features. Unlike Macromedia
authoring tools, there are no licensing fees for retail distribution
of AMT titles.
