Apple used to have an official site (info.apple.com/support/aht.html)
for downloadable AHT dmgs, but this site is long gone, images are now
preserved here.

The quote above was written for the OSX 10.1 era, newer OSX of course
uses Disk Utility not Disk Copy to burn CDs, but by the way burning to
+16x 4.7GB DVD makes discs that can be read a lot faster than CD.
Anyway, I find on my PowerMac G4 MDD-2003 I can installed and run all
AHT versions from hard disk drive, ssd, and USB thumbdrive, sometimes
requiring modding, but never requiring burning discs. AHT's directions
also say to only plug the mouse into a keyboard, not the PowerMac, but
I've never had to obey that either.
