Patched versions of the Apple CD-ROM extension, which enables you to
use it as a driver for non-Apple branded CD-ROM drives. Unlike other
hacks, the ability to use it with genuine Apple CD-ROM drives is
retained.

by TheMage18 - confirmed working on SSW 8.1 - 6.0.7
Download #2 Apple CD-ROM v5.4.2, using the hack originally published
on ResExcellence ([Archive.org][1]) - confirmed working on SSW 8.1 -
7.1
Download #2 Apple CD/DVD Driver v1.2.2, using the hack from the same
source as #2 - confirmed working on MacOS 8.6 / 9.1

They also function as drivers for RaSCSI emulated CD-ROM drives.
