This application bills itself as 'a modern replacement for your old
alarm clock'. Naturally this was written in the days before mobile
phones more or less did it all.
Nevertheless, this application contains all the features and
integrations that anyone in the early to mid naughties could have
wanted from an alarm clock and to-do application. Actions for when one
goes off include playing audio or video files, launching internet
radio stations, starting an iTunes playlists, creating and sending an
email, and opening a web page.
This download is for version 6.4.3 which was distributed on a
MacFormat cover CD with the registration code in a file. The year
listed is 2004 which is in-line with the version here however it has
existed since approx 1999 with notes suggesting that it started life
as as a HyperCard stack. The application is still maintained,
alongside an iOS release. Please see Koingo software's website for
older and newer versions.
Compatibility
Architecture: PPC
This application boldly states 'Mac OS X' as its only requirement, so
presumably its operational all the way down to Cheetah. tested on
Leopard.
It was taken for granted back then but the other requirement a little
more relevant to today is a working clock battery.
