| # Research | |
| I am interested in understanding mechanical and hydrological processes | |
| in the climate system, specifically processes that relate to mechanics | |
| of granular materials, sea ice, and ice-sheet flow under past, | |
| present, and future scenarios. Investigations of fundamental | |
| granular mechanics are important in many geodynamical and | |
| geomorphological processes and settings, such as earthquakes, | |
| landslides, sediment transport in flowing water, and dam stability. | |
