# Research |

|
I am interested in understanding mechanical and hydrological processes |
|
in the climate system, specifically processes that relate to mechanics |
|
of granular materials, sea ice, and ice-sheet flow under past, |
|
present, and future scenarios. Investigations of fundamental |
|
granular mechanics are important in many geodynamical and |
|
geomorphological processes and settings, such as earthquakes, |
|
landslides, sediment transport in flowing water, and dam stability. |
|
|
|
