| Beer: Rodenback - FruitAge | |
| Style: Blend | |
| Source: Roeselare, Belgium | |
| ABV: 4.2% | |
| "Rodenback FruitAge is a blend of aged beer - 2 years aged in oak | |
| foeders - young beer and 9% red fruit. A Rodenback signature taste | |
| balanced with sweet-sourness and fruity notes. Pure refreshment." | |
| FruitAge | |
| This one comes all the way from Belgium in a can that's modeled | |
| after a RedBull energy drink. I've never had anything like this | |
| before and I was excited to try it. The closest thing I can describe | |
| it to is a carbonated Ocean Spray cranberry juice cocktail. I can't | |
| pick up any alcohol flavor at all. There's a hint of the oak barrels | |
| that lingers after the initial burst of sweet and sour. Calling this | |
| a beer is a bit of a stretch. It's closer to something like a pink | |
| champagne that would be fun to break on New Year's Eve. | |
| - Would I buy it again? No | |
| - How much could I drink in one night? A couple of cans before | |
| giving up and switching to a real beer. |
