| "Michigan Hard Cider with hand made carmel sauce" | |
| Carmel Apple | |
| The state of Michigan has the perfect climate for growing apples and | |
| we have apple orchards literally everywhere. In the past couple of | |
| years, a lot of new Cideries has started popping up to piggyback on | |
| the craft beer craze. Their ciders are typically less sweet and have | |
| more complex flavors than the macro ciders found in the US. | |
| I've had a few ciders from Ridge before, but this is my first time | |
| trying their carmel apple flavor. The sweetness scale on the can | |
| is listed as 3 out of 5. I prefer more dry ciders, and this is at | |
| about the max sweetness that I can handle. I was expecting the | |
| carmel to be overpowering but it's subtle and has a nice natural | |
| flavor. The aftertaste has some funkiness to it. This gives it a | |
| kick but I'm afraid that it masks the flavor a bit too much. | |
| - Would I buy it again? Only for my wife, she's a cider fiend. | |
| - How much could I drink in one night? A glass or two at most due to | |
| the sweetness. |
