First of all, I'm relieved to find out that all 24 bottles aren't
limited to Christmas themed IPAs! The only other Mexican lager that
I've tried is Modelo Especial (And of course Corona, but that
doesn't count, right?). This one from Detroit tastes almost
indistinguishable; I doubt I would be able to pick them it out in a
side-by-side test. Perhaps this one is a little fresher, and a
little more carbonated. The pour was very frothy. Aftertaste was
pleasant and not at all skunky like I'm used to expecting with cheap
lagers.
- Would I buy it again? Yes, but I wouldn't be willing to pay a
premium price.
- How much could I drink in one night? Unlimited, I would happily
drink these all night long without getting drunk.
