bourbon barrels." | |
Better Half | |
Founder's is a nationally recognized brewery that's based in my
hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. Personally I feel that a lot of their
beers, like their staple All Day IPA, are massively overrated. They
also charge ridiculous prices for their limited releases but that's
a rant for another day. | |
This is the first selection in the advent calender to break the 10%
ABV mark. It's also one of the thickest and richest beers that I've
ever tried. The molasses flavor comes out quick and compliments the
barrel aged ale nicely. I can sense the maple syrup adding to the
overall flavor profile but it's not notable on its own. I'm drinking
this slowly and in tiny sips. I love it though, it's a great beer
to crack open when I'm sitting home alone in the dark.
- Would I buy it again? Yes
- How much could I drink in one night? One bottle would last me
all night. |
