THE DISTRICT

The 92nd Assembly District encompasses Menomonie and Chippewa Falls and lies to the North of Eau Claire. It is a toss-up district.

THE NUTSHELL

Incumbent Rep. Clint Moses, R-Menomonie, faces no challenger in the Aug. 13 GOP primary. First elected in 2020, Moses chairs the Assembly Committee on Health, Aging and Long-Term Care. He also serves on the Assembly Agriculture Committee. Two Democrats are jostling to run against Moses on Nov. 5. Caden Berg, of Chippewa Falls, is a former Chippewa County Board member. He’s running to advocate for “quality education, affordable healthcare, mental health services, saving family farms, and promoting local economic growth.” Former Rep. Joseph Plouff, D-Menomonie, served in the Assembly between 1997 and 2005. He’s running again to curb gun violence, protect the environment and “make Wisconsin work for the people.”

PRIMARY RESULTS

The race was too close to call as of early Aug. 14.
