It’s Friday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

Latino Arts Inc. continues its Lunch and Learn series with this panel conversation on Dia de Los Muertos traditions in Mexico and Central America. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 at 1028 S. 9th St. Tickets are $10 and include a light lunch.
Riverworks Development Corp. organized tours of Harambee on different Saturdays during November. This weekend’s tour covers Harambee’s history as told by Clayborn Benson III and Reuben Harpole, ending with spoken word performance from local artists. The tour runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5. The tour is free and should be done via bus or bike. Sign up to receive a map here. Once you’ve completed your registration, you will be notified via email about the logistics, such as where to meet up, parking information. If you do not use email, provide your phone number when registering.
A collaboration between Fanana Banana and Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, “Reflecting My Muslim Americanism” is a visual art exhibition that explores American identity through the Muslim perspective. The exhibition closes this weekend with a panel discussion on the exhibition’s themes. The panel discussion and closing reception takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the MARN ART + CULTURE HUB, located at 191 N. Broadway. 4. Abstract art workshop: Saturday, Nov. 5
Kamari Green teaches mixed media techniques at this event at the Milwaukee Art Therapy Collective. The workshop takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 9224 W. Burleigh St. Tickets are $35.
5. Health benefits of herbal tea: Sunday, Nov. 6
Urbal Tea leads this tour of the Mitchell Park Domes and the benefits of herbal tea from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 524 S. Layton Blvd. Tickets are $18 for Domes members, $22 for non-members. Ticket purchase include take-home samples.
Poets Carlos Cumpián and Angie Trudell Vasquez will be reading live at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Woodland Pattern Book Center at 720 E. Locust St.
