Overview

Testing is an essential entry point in accessing hepatitis B and C prevention, care and treatment services, making it a critical component of national responses.



Join us for a webinar to launch WHO’s new Operational guide on priorities in planning person-centred hepatitis B and C testing services.



The event will provide a briefing on the key highlights of the operational guide, including:

a framework in planning hepatitis B and C testing services;

developing a strategic mix of testing approaches based on country’s priorities and unique epidemiological situation;

opportunities for integrating testing services, demand creation and linkage to care; and

consolidation of WHO testing guidelines on hepatitis C and B and D to improve accessibility for end-users.



The event will also provide a forum to discuss compelling examples in how hepatitis B and C testing approaches and strategies were developed in different countries, emphasising phased approaches, integration and simplified testing strategies.

The webinar will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation in French.

What to expect

Presentation to launch the Priorities in planning person-centred hepatitis B and C testing services: Operational guide and the framework;

Compelling country examples from Morocco, England (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), Georgia and Uganda showcasing how hepatitis B and C testing approaches were developed and key enablers in their implementation; and

Community perspective on successful implementation of differentiated hepatitis B and C testing approaches.
