The Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on In Vitro Diagnostics (SAGE IVD) will hold its fifth meeting from 25-29 November 2024. The main objectives of the 5th SAGE IVD meeting are to provide recommendations for the next edition of the WHO Model List of Essential In-vitro Diagnostics (the EDL 5) and to review progress on the development of national EDLs.

WHO launched the first edition of the Model List of Essential In Vitro Diagnostics (EDL) in May 2018. This was followed by three further editions, in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
