ATACH General Meeting 2024 [1]

The Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health (ATACH) is holding a virtual members meeting on Tuesday 22 October 2024. The meeting will be held virtually to reduce emissions due to global travel.



This online Global Members Meeting follows the March 2024 ATACH Global Meeting in Madrid reconvening ATACH members and other interested stakeholders. The secretariat will present the next phase of the ATACH, including a renewed ATACH Strategy 2024 – 2028 and new structure for the alliance. The proposed changes aim to establish broader opportunities for engagement by countries and partners in driving forward the work and agenda of the alliance with the ultimate goal of increasing action at country level.



There will be two sessions at 9:00 – 11:00 CEST and 15:00 – 17:00 CEST. The content will be the same in both sessions, so all ATACH members will have the opportunity to attend from all time zones.



Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Arabic, English and French for the morning session and Arabic, English, French, and Spanish for the afternoon session.

About the ATACH



The ATACH is the leading global network aiming to support country action towards building climate-resilient and low-carbon sustainable health systems in the face of the climate crisis. The alliance also supports health-promoting climate action in key health-determining sectors such as nutrition, agriculture and food systems, energy, and transport. The ATACH acts as a global collaboration platform bringing together national health systems together with key implementation partners, including development agencies, multilateral development banks, major philanthropic foundations, as well as practitioner, academic and non-governmental organizations. The alliance provides coordinated support to participant countries and areas to achieve their commitments and priorities in climate and health. To date, 85 countries and over 70 partners have formally joined the ATACH.
