WHO at the 68th Commission on the Status of Women [1]

Recognizing the critical importance of women’s health, gender equality and people’s universal right to health, WHO is participating at the 68th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), which is taking place in New York City in the United States from 11 to 22 March 2024.
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women. It is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world and shaping global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women.
The priority theme of the CSW68 is “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.”
WHO will be co-organizing or participating in the following events at CSW68:
