The third in this year's Working for Health 2030 webinar series co-hosted by WHO and NHS England, this seminar explores evolving responses of public health professionals to public health hazards and the challenges to promoting and protecting the public’s health and integration between health system partners. Key questions will include:
Key public health and public health workforce challenges systems have faced and will face in the future – and what can and must be done to address these;
Opportunities to develop a broader and more sustainable public health workforce, including through multidisciplinary and intersectural engagement and collaboration;
Opportunities to develop a broader and more sustainable public health workforce, including through multidisciplinary and intersectural engagement and collaboration; The role of public health professionals in providing and developing leadership across health systems and beyond, to handle public health challenges and emergencies.
Chair Professor Neil Squires is the Director of Global Operations for UK Health Security Agency. He is also a doctor who trained in primary care, tropical medicine and public health. Neil has spent the majority of his career working internationally, including being the Head of Profession for Health at the Department for International Development (2011-2014).
