2023 Friends of the Task Force meeting [1]

The United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of NCDs has the pleasure to inform you about a « Friends of the Task Force » side event organized on the occasion of the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly. The side event will be hosted by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India and the World Health Organization and held on 19 September 2023 at 10:00 EDT, by video conference.
This year’s session, titled “Innovating to scale up technical support with and for Member States to deliver the health-related Sustainable Development Goal targets”, will innovate to accelerate multisectoral action to support countries in achieving the health-related SDGs in line with the 2022-2025 Task Force strategy
Objectives:
1. Highlight action that needs to be taken to meet the NCD- and mental health-related Sustainable Development Goals.
2. Announce digital health business case and country-focused projects to scale up the use of digital solutions.
3. Promote the recently established UN Health4Life Fund, a multi partner trust fund to catalyze country action for NCDs and mental health, and highlight ongoing initiatives of Task Force members.
4. Announce winners of the 2023 Task Force and WHO and ITU Awards aiming to promote digital health.
