Igniting joint action for Nutrition for Growth (N4G) commitments [1]

The 2021 Year of Action for Nutrition, culminating in the Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit in December 2021, resulted in over US$27 billion pledged to nutrition and almost 400 new commitments. This success would not have been possible without the collective efforts of nutrition champions at all levels, encouraging and supporting decision-makers to articulate ambitious, yet realistic commitments. The N4G commitments must be translated to actions and results. The Nutrition Accountability Framework (NAF), hosted by the Global Nutrition Report, will help ensure transparent reporting of progress made on implementing N4G commitments.

The N4G Outreach Working Group is hosting four regional webinars for Francophone and Anglophone Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean. These webinars commemorate the year after the N4G summit and aim to reignite momentum for joint action on the commitments and to take stock and celebrate the progress made.

Recognising the challenges of the global food and nutrition crisis, these regional webinars will highlight the importance of multi-stakeholder approaches and identify key available tools and resources to support country implementation. The webinars will also describe how and when stakeholders should report on their commitments within the NAF.
