Hundreds gathered in A.L. Davis Park and the streets of Central City to celebrate Super Sunday (March 16). There were also Super Sunday festivities throughout the rest of the city.
Among the tribes at A.L. Davis Park were the Young Eagles, Golden Eagles, the Golden Arrow Tribe, the Northern Comanche Tribe and the Golden Feather Hunters.
Food vendors lined the streets of Central City as people came to see Black Masking Indians in their intricate costumes, some of which take up to a year to make. Native American and African cultures and histories inspired many of the designs, including Egyptian symbols and Indigenous imagery.
In the park, local DJ Arie Spins performed for a large crowd of people enjoying the festivities.
