The New Orleans Police Department was a deeply corrupt organization in the mid-1990s and that was brought to national attention by the murder of Kim Groves. NOPD officer Len Davis ordered a hit on the single mother after she complained about the officer’s beating of a young man in her neighborhood.
Kim’s daughter, Jasmine Groves, held her 30th and final memorial to her mother earlier this month.
