U.S. Citizens Requesting Support in Lebanon [1]
[]
Date: 2024-09
We continue to advise that U.S. citizens depart Lebanon due to the unpredictable nature of ongoing conflict between Hizballah and Israel and recent explosions throughout Lebanon, including Beirut. The U.S. embassy strongly encourages U.S. citizens in Southern Lebanon, near the borders with Syria, and/or in refugee settlements to depart those areas immediately. If you choose to remain in Lebanon, be prepared to shelter in place for an extended period. Keep your passport and other identity documents in an easily accessible location.
Please fill out this form if you are a U.S. citizen in Lebanon and want to receive information about departure assistance. Please be aware that currently we are able to assist only U.S. citizens and their accompanying immediate family (including spouses, children under 21-years old, and parents) who have valid travel documents for onward travel from Turkey or Cyprus.
