Our Mission

The Office of Management Strategy and Solutions (M|SS) is a strategic arm of the Under Secretary for Management led by an Assistant Secretary-equivalent Director. M|SS catalyzes strategic insights and solutions to help improve the management platform and advance foreign policy goals. As the Department’s internal management consultant, we aim to be the Trusted Partner for Smart Management. We are comprised of three directorates: Policy and Global Presence, the Center for Analytics, and Consulting and Advanced Projects.
