Your next career opportunity

As Manager, Energy and Campus Analytics, you will lead the University of Melbourne’s energy and facilities related data analytics initiatives, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable operations across multiple campuses. You will manage a diverse team responsible for utilities management, operational technology (OT), spatial data, digital estate management, and carbon reduction. With significant budget responsibility, you will leverage analytics to enhance the University's facilities management capability and contribute to its sustainability goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operational Technology and Facilities Data Management: Develop and implement a roadmap for OT deployment, ensuring seamless data integration across the University's IT infrastructure.

Digital Estate Management and Spatial Analytics: Oversee spatial data curation, ensure asset data taxonomy is consistent with the University’s needs, and develop a Digital Estate Strategy.

Energy and Building Services Management: Lead energy demand tracking, forecasting, and regulatory reporting, contributing to the University's sustainability targets for carbon reduction and cost-efficiency goals.

Project Development and Management: Drive feasibility analysis, business case development, and project execution for energy and analytics initiatives.

You may be a great fit if:

You are an experienced energy and campus analytics professional with a strong background in energy management, operational technology, and data-driven decision-making. You thrive in leading multidisciplinary teams, driving innovation, and contributing to sustainability initiatives across large-scale facilities.

A postgraduate qualification in engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven expertise in energy management, operational technology, and data-driven decision-making.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience mentoring technical teams.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data insights into strategic recommendations.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
