The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) Victorian Division is seeking a highly motivated, member focused individual with experience in industrial, organising, recruitment and campaigning, either in a trade union or in social justice organisations. The successful applicant will be committed to building the trade union movement.
The position is offered as a full-time, on-going appointment.
The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers staff employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union's membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.
The successful candidate will initially be based at the La Trobe University Branch Office in Bundoora. You will be assigned a mix of duties, including case work, representing members in individual and collective disputes, including at the Fair Work Commission, collective bargaining, taking responsibility for the completion of organising, campaign, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch level and state-wide. You may be allocated to other NTEU branches in Victoria from time to time.

This position is available immediately. It will be filled at NTEU Level 5/6 ($87,001 - $107,678), depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
