The Role



Continuing, Full Time

Level B - $100,476 to $119,121 pa (plus 17% superannuation)

Port Macquarie

Contribute to the collaborative scholarly environment of the School of Indigenous Australian Studies through engaged, dynamic teaching, and relevant and connected scholarship and research.



This position may also be offered as a Scholarly Teaching Fellow under Clause 30 of the Charles Sturt University Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021. Applicants who are employed on a casual or fixed term basis with at least 12 months of academic employment within the last three years, and who have never held an ongoing position at an Australian University are strongly encouraged to apply.



The successful candidate will be appointed to a teaching research work function unless employed under the Scholarly Teaching Fellow condition where a teaching focused appointment may be allocated.



This is an identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander position under section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act, 1977. Please be aware you may be asked to provide confirmation of Indigenous Australian Identity.



To be successful you will be:



A doctoral or masters qualification relevant to indigenous Australian Studies

Commitment to or evidence of the delivery of high quality student centred learning and teaching

Capacity to undertake or a record of research/ creative works or professional activity related to the discipline

High level communication skills with demonstrated ability to network and build partnerships across the university and with external organisations

The school develops, delivers and promotes Indigenous Australian Studies to all students studying at Charles Sturt University. The School develops research and consultancy links with local communities, institutions, services and agencies, together with national and international scholarly communities.
