About the opportunity

The person appointed to this position is expected to make a significant contribution to scholarly activities in the Doctor of Medicine program. It is also expected that they will carry out appropriate independent scholarship/research to inform curriculum and assessment development, and help to design a range of resources to enrich the student learning experience.

This is a continuing, part time (0.5FTE) position based at the Gold Coast campus and it is expected that the successful candidate will be available to attend campus in person as a noral requriement of the role. Further, you may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises, which the University currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to tie provide services.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience in writing and reviewing curriculum resources for a range of relevant biomedical science disciplines in a medical program. You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a collegial manner and contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of the School and the University, including collaborating with other staff, participation on committees and School activities, and liaison with industry partners when required.

You will have the ability to work autonomously under only broad direction, as well as part of a high-performing team. You will be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve agreed curriculum development and delivery milestones. You will have sound digital literacy and working knowledge of university learning management systems. You will have proven success in attracting research grant funding together with the ability to contribute to an area of research strength in the School.



Salary range

Lecturer Level B Base Salary $98,174 - $116,584 (pro-rated) per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $114,863 - $136,404 (pro-rated) per annum.
