About the opportunity
We are seeking a Scientific Officer Neuroscience and Biomechanics who will work closely with the Team Leader Health Sciences to become part of a dynamic team working collaboratively with academic colleagues and other professional staff to provide a comprehensive range of professional technical support within specialised teaching and learning facilities applying both expertise and judgement to support teaching effort primarily with the School of Health Sciences and Social work and related Health Group areas.
This is a continuing, part time (50%) position based at the Gold Coast campus and it is expected that the successful candidate will be available to attend campus in person as a normal requirement of the role. Further, you may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises, which the University currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services.
About you
You will value teamwork, continuous improvement and have a willingness to learn, develop and update skills, be highly organised and enthusiastic, handle direction and multiple tasks concurrently, flexible and readily adapt to changing work requirements and demands, pay attention to detail, and thrive on working with a positive team of professionals to provide high quality technical support to Griffith University students. You will have completed a relevant degree within the disciplines of Neuroscience and Biomechanics or possess a combination of equivalent qualifications, relevant training, knowledge and/or experience. Successfully providing technical support within Health Sciences or similar environment will be viewed favourably.
Salary range
HEW Level 5: Base Salary $69,109 - $77,529 (pro rata) per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $80,857 - $90,708 (pro rata) per annum.
