About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Postdoctoral Researcher to take responsibility for the project management of The NOVELL Redesign project. This project brings together a multi-skilled and interdisciplinary stakeholder group to rethink and reshape how stroke rehabilitation facilities are designed, using a living lab methodology and informed by current neuroscience and evidence-based architecture.
The final outcome of the project will be a virtual built facility that supports the very best of evidence-based care for people with stroke.
Key responsibilities include:
Project management, including tracking of project progress and coordinating project work across participating institutions and project partners
Assisting with the production of published works in refereed journals, books, conference and seminar papers
Collecting, managing and analysing project data
Engaging and communicating with project stakeholders, both professional and community based, and fostering and developing new project partnerships
This role is a fixed-term, 12-month parental leave cover position at 0.6 FTE (3 days per week). The Postdoctoral Researcher role will be paid in the range of Research Officer 1- RO1 ($83,974 pro-rata per annum) to Research Officer 2 – RO2 ($87,058 pro-rata per annum).

About you:
The successful candidate will have:
A PhD in a related discipline or imminent award thereof (e.g., health care, clinical research, psychology, or similar. PhD graduates from the social sciences, architecture or design may also be considered.)
Strong written and spoken communication skills, including demonstrated experience drafting research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals and other academic forums, online and in-person academic presentations, and written and spoken communication with lay audiences.
Strong analytic skills including experience with mixed methods research approaches (qualitative analysis skills highly regarded)
Experience managing large research projects, including high level organisational skills, demonstrated skills in personal time management, coordination of multiple projects and tasks that are time and budget sensitive.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team, build and maintain relationships, and to liaise across multiple individuals and institutions including funding bodies and interdisciplinary stakeholders
