The Senior Lecturer – Literacy will work towards advancing and achieving the Faculty’s strategic research priorities through a program of research focused on this cognate area. Consideration for an appointment in this position requires a track record of high quality, ground-breaking scholarly activities, undertaken individually and collaboratively.

The Faculty’s research program in this area is diverse. It prioritises exploring and improving, through educational research, how education contributes to living justly and sustainably now and into the future. This work aspires to contribute to the transformation of the teaching and learning of languages and literacies. A particular focus is on fostering innovation and change in how English is taught and learnt in a super-diverse world.

About YOU!

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated capability in teaching in areas of Primary English and Literacy with experience in online and blended teaching. This is an opportunity to contribute positively and significantly to the Faculty’s strategic research priorities.

The successful candidate will have:

A PhD and significant experience in Primary Literacy

Strong track record of teaching experience and demonstrable experience in achieving improved learning outcomes over sustained periods

An established and relevant research base to draw upon

Proven record of obtaining significant external grants for research
