Can a small shift greatly affect outcomes? Behavioural insights (BI) suggest that subtle changes in the way we frame decision-making can have big impacts on behaviour. Nudge theory and behavioural science are game-changers for policy makers. This behavioural insights course provides an introduction to the field of behavioural insights (BI) and an overview of the key principles that drive human behaviour. This online course will also introduce you to a range of practical methods and tools that can be used to apply behavioural insights to develop more effective policies and services, including BIT’s behavioural insights project methodology (TESTS) and solution design framework (EAST).
Spread across four weekly 3-hour sessions, this BI course is designed to be highly interactive and give you the opportunity to apply the learnings from the course in between sessions. Each session will include a theoretical component as well as a short exercise. After this, you will be encouraged to find an opportunity to apply the concepts in the field between sessions. Each session will also include brief recap of the previous session and an opportunity for you to ask questions about any challenges or issues encountered when applying any learnings in the field.
