Former President Donald Trump will take Tennessee’s 11 electoral votes, according to the Associated Press.
The A.P. called Tennessee’s presidential race for Trump less than 10 minutes after polls closed Tuesday.
Trump led Vice President Kamala Harris 76% to 23% with less than 15% of the state’s votes counted as of 7:20 p.m.
The result does not come as a surprise for Tennessee, where more than 60% of voters cast their ballots for Trump in 2020 and 2016.
Presidential candidates need 270 of the 538 total electoral votes given to each of the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
As of 7:20 p.m., the A.P. called nine states for Trump, including Oklahoma, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, West Virginia and South Carolina.
Harris took Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maryland.
