Former President Donald Trump has won South Dakota’s three electoral votes in his bid to return to the White House.

The Associated Press called the South Dakota results for Trump at 8 p.m. Central/7 p.m. Mountain, as the last polling places in the state closed. Early returns showed Trump with 68% of the votes, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris with 29%, and Libertarian Chase Oliver with 1%.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was on South Dakota ballots as an independent candidate for president, because the deadline to withdraw had already passed when he suspended his campaign on Aug. 23. Early returns showed him receiving 2% of the votes for his non-existent candidacy.

This is the 15th consecutive win in South Dakota for a Republican presidential candidate. The last Democratic presidential nominee to win the state was former President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
