Snake Island Priest Recounts Abduction And Torture By Russian Forces [1]

A Ukrainian priest has told RFE/RL about his abduction by Russian forces after he traveled to Snake Island in the Black Sea to collect the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers thought to have been killed. Father Vasyl Vyrozub says that, despite an agreement with the Russian side for secure passage, his group's boat was seized and he was taken to Russia where he was beaten and electrocuted.
