SEJ Awards for Reporting on the Environment [1]

Three ProPublica projects were recognized by the Society of Environmental Journalists at their annual SEJ Awards for Reporting on the Environment.

“The Long Burn,” a Local Reporting Network collaboration between Source New Mexico and ProPublica, was awarded first place in the outstanding beat reporting, large newsroom category.

“Thirsty Valley,” a Local Reporting Network project in collaboration with The Desert Sun, was awarded third place for the Kevin Carmody Award for outstanding investigative reporting, large newsroom category.

“Roots of an Outbreak” was given a first honorable mention in the outstanding explanatory reporting, large newsroom category.
