On Independence Day of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in the solemn event "Prayer for Ukraine" held at St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv.

Representatives of churches and religious organizations joined the event along with the presidential couple.

The chamber choir performed "Our Father". Afterwards, short prayers for Ukraine and speeches by church leaders and heads of religious organizations were delivered.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the clergy for their prayers and words of support.

"Congratulations on Independence Day of Ukraine. I wish all of us victory," the Head of State said addressing the participants of the event.
