During a working trip to Volyn, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on the arrangement and protection of the state border, as well as the current security situation in the region.

Head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration Yurii Pohuliayko informed the participants of the meeting about the socio-economic situation in the region, the arrangement of fortification and defense engineering facilities.

During the meeting, reports were heard on the situation in the area of responsibility of the “Volyn” operational group of troops and the readiness of military units to perform tasks, as well as on measures to reinforce the state border within the Volyn region.

In addition, the parties discussed the operational and criminogenic situation in the region.

The participants discussed issues related to the work of customs authorities at international checkpoints in the Volyn region, as well as the work of the State Emergency Service in protecting the civilian population of the region.
