On the Day of Commemoration of Participants in Combat Operations on the Territory of Other States, on behalf of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a basket of flowers was placed at the Memorial Complex to the Ukrainian warriors fallen in Afghanistan at 17 Lavrska Street in Kyiv.
"We will never forget our countrymen perished in foreign lands in the past decades. They were all our compatriots, Ukrainians. And we do not forget our people. And we never leave our people behind," the Head of State emphasized.
The President also expressed respect for veterans of local armed conflicts who are now using their experience to defend Ukraine from Russian invaders on the battlefield or otherwise actively help defend our country.
