If you have top-notch news judgment, an insatiable curiosity about the world around you and love digging into documents to get the details of a story right, the Palatka Daily News wants you to join the team.
Located in Northeast Florida, the Daily News is seeking a reporter to round out its news staff. The legacy newspaper, founded in 1885, is the main source of local news for all of Putnam County and prints on-site, 3 days a week. That means reasonable daily deadlines and a great potential for a work-life balance.
Experience writing a variety of hard and soft news, plus basic photography skills are preferred. The ability to consistently meet deadlines and follow AP Style is essential, as is posting to the web and social. Experience with Adobe products such as InDesign and Photoshop are a plus. At least two years of experience is desired, but all aspects of potential will be weighed. You will be expected to live in or near Putnam County and immerse yourself in the area.
