As part of InvestigateWest’s growing team, this collaborative investigative reporter will produce high-impact stories in partnership with under-resourced newsrooms, with an emphasis on rural and underserved communities in central and eastern Oregon. The position is best suited for someone who lives to expose wrongdoing, corruption, exploitation, the holes in society’s safety nets and the powerful interests responsible for fixing them. This reporter will live and work in Oregon as part of our remote newsroom.
Salary and Benefits:
$55,000-$64,000 (The top half of that range is reserved for applicants with 8+ years of professional experience.)
100% employer-paid health insurance, 50% of dental, retirement contribution, a work computer, three weeks of vacation, 11 paid holidays and a monthly work-from-home stipend of $100. A relocation stipend ($1,200) is available for applicants outside of Oregon.
