San Antonio Express-News Digital Opinion Producer in San Antonio, TX [1]

The Digital Opinion Producer will be instrumental in crafting and implementing our digital strategy and standards. This will include launching and writing an opinion newsletter, editing and posting short videos from Editorial Board meetings, curating comments on social media and occasionally writing quick takes in response to breaking news.
The right candidate is a creative thinker, who is eager to share and try new ideas, receptive to diverse viewpoints, embraces challenges and works collaboratively with colleagues.
Candidates should have at least five years of journalism experience, a bachelor’s degree, excellent news judgment and a belief that journalism can make the world a better place.
This is a hybrid position, based in San Antonio. Please submit a resume and cover letter outlining your experience and approach to this job.
Primary Responsibilities:
Write and produce an opinion newsletter, package opinion content for social media, write online headlines, create quick videos from Editorial Board meetings, curate social media responses to news events and opinion content.
