Are you a strong copy editor with a business- and / or financial-news background? Are you looking for a part-time, long-term freelance job that’s remote, pays reasonably well, with a great global team at a solid company? If so, apply here.

The AIM Group, the world’s leading business intelligence company for marketplaces (what used to be called “classifieds”), needs a strong No. 2 editor to handle growth and take some of the load off the managing editor. You’ll report to him, but you’ll work with writers around the world and with the founding principal, who’s editorial director. Your responsibility will be much more than grammar and AP style (although those are critical too); you’ll have to develop an understanding of our industry, context, history and trends, and help our writers incorporate all of that into their content by using our research materials, site archive and the good ole internet.

The hours are flexible, but you’ll be needed most when we’re on deadline. It will help a lot if you can be available at odd hours, because we occasionally handle important breaking news for our clients and push it out immediately.

It’ll take you three to four months to get up to speed; you’ll be working (paid, of course) during that time, but there will definitely be a learning curve.
