As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for connecting with audiences of Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB) and promoting content on all social media platforms. To fulfill that mission, your will engage in conversation with our audiences on social media and in person; and monitor analytics and social media performance.
You will work with the Directors of Marketing, Audience, and Content and other key stakeholders at Northwest Public Broadcasting to develop, implement, and manage Northwest Public Broadcasting’s social media strategy to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement across various platforms.
This position can be located in either Pullman or the Tri-Cities area, Washington.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field AND three (3) years of professional level experience in marketing, promotional or related work. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role.
Demonstrable knowledge of social media management tools and best practices.
Experience running organic and paid social media campaigns.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proficiency in analytics and the ability to interpret data to drive social media strategies.
Experience using social analytics and testing to determine and maximize social ROI.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Experience in crisis management in the social media context.
Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and environment.
Strong team player with desire to collaborate with others.
Monthly Salary:
$4,508.70 to $6,695.42 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. For additional information, please review WSU’s Administrative Professional Compensation.
