WXXV, the Morris Multimedia station in Gulfport, MS, seeks a News Director to lead a team of enthusiastic, young journalists and seasoned professionals.
The ideal candidate brings a history of leadership and mentorship, with an understanding of the role that feedback plays in staff development. Key responsibilities include recruiting, developing and retaining talent, creating overall LOCAL journalistic strategy and policy for daily newscasts, managing staff and resources effectively, while fostering a positive, proactive and productive work environment.
WXXV is located a few miles from white sand beaches and just over one hour from New Orleans. This is a tourist destination with beaches, casinos and great seafood.
