The Daily Memphian Enterprise Editor in Memphis, TN [1]

The Daily Memphian is looking for a veteran enterprise editor — or an experienced enterprise or investigative reporter ready to move to the next level — to join our team full-time. This person will work especially closely with our enterprise and metro reporters. However, they will also work on enterprise projects with Daily Memphian reporters, organization-wide, to create compelling stories throughout the week.



Those candidates interested in applying should have sharp news judgment, great editing skills and be able to help daily beat reporters come up with compelling story ideas. They should also be able to manage larger narrative projects in a timely manner across a number of subject areas.



The ideal candidate will have at least five years of editing experience, but consideration will also be given to candidates who have an extensive background in reporting and writing and are looking to become an editor.

A knowledge of Memphis, its history and culture will also be considered a plus.



Once hired, the editor will need to live in Memphis and adhere to The Daily Memphian’s in-person and remote work policies.
