Times-Georgian news editor in Carrollton, GA [1]

The Times-Georgian is looking for a "hands on" News Editor. This position will assist Managing Editor in coaching small news staff to provide our community with a great newspaper. The new editor will also be covering local governmental and events while actively representing the newspaper at public venues. Also, works as lead on our West Georgia Living, an award winning lifestyles magazine covering the west Georgia area. All publications are worked through our Paxton Media Group pagination hub to produce an excellent publication while meeting or beating deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

Four-year degree with a concentration in journalism preferred. Minimum of five years full-time newspaper experience including reporting, photography and editing reporters’ copy and submitted materials for content and style. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills and strong interpersonal skills.
