PolitiFact is seeking freelance journalists/researchers to help us moderate viral videos as part of our fact-checking relationship with TikTok.
Deliverable: Provide preliminary research regarding claims made in videos and determine whether they are true, false, or somewhere in between.
The work helps TikTok make decisions about what types of videos they choose to promote on their social platform.
The pay is between $20 and $30 an hour. Researchers can work a flexible, remote schedule. We’re looking for researchers who can commit to 25-40 hours a week, starting ASAP. The contract is for a minimum of two months and can extend based on need.
This is not a writing contract project. Freelancer should have a background as a journalist who is naturally inquisitive and knows how to use the internet to hunt out the truth.
